Emotional Intelligence is the capacity for recognizing our own feelings and those of others, for motivating ourselves, and for managing emotions effectively in ourselves and others. An emotional competency is a learned capability based on emotional intelligence that contributes to effective performance at work.
Research shows that for jobs of all kinds, emotional intelligence is twice as important as IQ plus technical skills. Emotional intelligence is what determines superior performance. Moreover, the higher the level of a job's complexity and authority, the greater the impact of outstanding performance on the bottom-line.
TRIAD Consulting Group's innovative Emotional Intelligence for Leadership Excellence programs will equip your managers with the skills necessary for superior personal performance and effective leadership in a rapidly changing global economy. This globally competitive environment has put a premium on organizational learning that continuously enhances the organization&'s capacity for innovation and growth, and has increased the demands on an individual&'s ability to manage and lead, particularly with regard to her/his social and emotional skills. More than just the latest management fad, research shows that while technical skills and cognitive intelligence are important "threshold" capabilities for jobs of all kinds,
emotional intelligence is what determines superior performance.
Emotional Intelligence for Leadership Excellence programs are designed to provide managers with an opportunity to learn more about themselves as leaders and managers of teams and individuals, to develop best practices for managing in a quickly-changing global business environment, and to apply these skills and techniques in the workplace.
A key component of both programs is feedback on critical workplace competencies based on the
Emotional Competence Inventory (ECI), a state-of-the-art assessment tool designed by Hay McBer, Daniel Goleman and Richard Boyatzis. The ECI is an on-line 360° survey instrument that will be completed by the participant and her/his manager, direct reports, peers, clients, and others of the participant&'s choosing.
